[...] Penthouse Magazine recently ran a piece on “Geek Love,” where they describe how Comic-Con has become a new hot spot for hookups. As a three-year veteran of the con, I consider myself something of an expert on what does and doesn’t happen on the convention floor — or the hotel room floor — so I’ve done a quick fact check on the article and whether its claims of sexy times in San Diego are true or false.
Actually, Starship Smackdown is more a challenge of wits than anything else. It has absolutely nothing to do with the stats and facts of the ships, and is about laughs and twisted, circuitous reasoning mostly involving how cool the actors who piloted them in their various tv shows and films were.

Last year featured Dave (as in, Eddie Murphy's Dave) versus Captain Crunch behind the wheel of the Millennium Falcon.

Or something equally ridiculous.

Interesting article, though! I've so far managed to avoid hooking up with anyone possessing molded-rubber pectorals, but oh, the intoxicating smell of newsprint and plastic can be a powerful one...
