Kreisler is a kind of catcher in the rye for evildoers—using a “You can do it, too!” satirical premise to document the misdeeds of endless fat cats, crooked pols, spoiled athletes, and celebutards before they go over the cliff and out of public notice forever. He skewers the Ken Lays of the world, but also shines a light on lesser-known heels, like the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, a charity for veterans that collected $168 million—but spent $125 million on “salaries, fund-raising, and perks.”
