Dana Delany hit the small-screen big time with her starring role in China Beach (1988–91), which earned her two Emmy Awards for Best Actress. And while she’s no doubt best known for her work on various TV series—including the prime-time soaps Pasadena (2001–02) and Desperate Housewives (2007–10), and the dramas Presidio Med (2002–03), Kidnapped (2006–07), and Body of Proof (2011–13), not to mention voice-over work on several animated projects—we’ll always most fondly remember her as Mistress Lisa in the 1994 feature film Exit to Eden (right). It’s hard to remember now that, at the time, Delany had reason to say of the role, “I’ve always been cast as the girl next door because of anatomy—the round face and round body. Now I get to express another side of me.” We couldn’t be more grateful she had the chance.
